General: Sicyon (Σικυών) was a city in ancient Greece. In antiquity it was known for its many famous painters and sculptors. The leader of the Achaean League, Aratus of Sicyon, was also from there. The Chimera or Chimaera was a creature of ancient Greek mythology made up of the parts of different animals, usually with the body of a lion, the head of a goat and the tail of a snake.
