General: Rare left-head inverted trihemiobol. Only 8 examples listed on acsearch.info. The control mark is not visible due to the off centre strike and tight flan.

A small coin from Thrace, Istros, which is an exemplary example of the kinds of interesting designs featured on the coins of Ancient Greece. Istros was a Milesian Colony which produced a large volume of silver coins during the first half of the 4th century indicating that it was a place of significant commerce.
