General: A rare silver tetradrachm of Otho from the Antioch mint in Syria. Otho was Roman Emperor for only 3 months! A friend to the infamous Emperor Nero, he found fame as Roman Emperor after overthrowing the Roman Emperor Galba. Like Nero, his life ended in his own hands during the Battle of Bedriacum. Reportedly the reason for his suicide was to spare his country from a civil war. This final act earned him the respect of all Romans.
