General: Marcus Julius Philippus (Philip I) and Marcia Otacilia Severa ruled the Roman Empire from 244 to 249 AD. Remembered in history for their tolerance towards Christianity, their reign came to an end at the hands of Trajan Decius who succeeded Philip I as Roman Emperor.
